We're currently based in Berlin Kreuzberg in a fantastic office right on Oranienstraße. Our team of 30+ driven and passionate individuals combines the in-depth experience of the B2B sales industry with engineering and product skills gained at top technology firms.

Your daily tasks

We’re looking for a highly skilled and passionate Head of Engineering to play a pivotal role in shaping our innovative product and growing our team. If you are a strong leader, caring manager, creative problem solver, and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, we want to hear from you!

We’re at an early stage of building our product, and you’ll be heavily involved in the design and development of our web-based SaaS application. Initially, you’ll be a player/coach, responsible for defining the processes and procedures that our team uses, managing the team, and working hands-on with our systems and code.

Manage and grow the engineering and machine learning team. Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team members.
Lead the team to define and execute the technical architecture, infrastructure, and operational needs to fuel our growth.
Define the technical strategy and execution plan for ML/AI services within our product.
Take responsibility for software delivery, enabling your team to continuously deliver value to our customers.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, actively sharing knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.
Get your hands dirty; we’re looking for a leader who can spend at least one day per week coding and supporting the team directly. This won’t last forever, but is an important part of understanding our systems and integrating with the team.

Our requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership and people manager role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience recruiting and hiring engineering talent and bringing new starters up to speed.
Strong technical background with expertise in contemporary software development, architecture, and systems design methods.
Experience building Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning models, managing large data sets, and integrating them into customer-facing products.
Proficiency in modern web development technologies and frontend frameworks like React. Strong experience with backend development using NodeJS and TypeScript.
Based in Berlin or plans to relocate here (no relocation or work permit support is provided). We are a hybrid team that works together in the office at least 3 days of the week (with an allowance for more flexible remote work throughout the year).
Fluent English speaker (written & spoken), German is a plus.
